Hello and welcome!
My name is Elena Nessler and I am a freelancer and visionary graphic designer based in the Kootenays in British Columbia, Canada. My approach to design is centered around consciousness and heightened awareness—a way of seeing that is full of wisdom and imagination. This way of seeing is personal and intuitive—I am highly connected to the emotion, the vibration, the frequency, and weight of a design and whether that fits an entity's corresponding attributes. I have a human-centred and user-focused design philosophy which seeks to unite psychology, culture and nature, guided by principles of the interconnectedness of life in this universe.
The emotion elicited by a design and the sensation it conjures are of the utmost importance. There is a moment when a design not only looks good, but really feels right. A design piece is not just a deliverable; each artifact is one piece of a puzzle which must fit perfectly within the individual or entity’s web of existence. Design is about connection and clarity; it must communicate and captivate in order to form influential relationships.
I ask thorough, layered questions in order to accurately understand and be able to reflect a person or entity. I immerse myself in what I am working with in order to truly embody its essence in the final design. Ascension into a state of thriving creativity and awareness is fostered through a deep understanding of the systems or entities in motion, combined with diligent self-care and nurturance. My creative flow comes directly and indirectly from experiences of being in nature, meditating, and surrounding myself with art and music that raises my vibration.
Some of my areas of interest are spirituality, simple/alternative living, meditation, yoga, music, film, literature and more.
In my spare time, you can find me passionately writing poetry, practicing yoga, cooking, collecting vinyl records, and wandering this beautiful planet.
